Iron Lion Soap Review Pt. 2

We’re back with another soap review from Iron Lion Soap, only this time we’re giving you two bars in one review. If you’ve seen our first review of Iron Lion Soap (you can see that here) then you know the first bar we used was pretty swell.

If you’re a fan of all natural hand made soap for not only BJJ but for everyday uses as well, then look no further than Iron Lion Soap. Whether you’re an athlete, a mom, a health nut or more, the Iron Lion Soap company has you covered.

“Not only do we want to educate and inform the BJJ community about using all natural soaps, we can not stress how important it is for your skin in general well being and health.” – A.R. owner of ILS

Lets get down to the Mojo and NaNa bars now!!!!

Mojo Bar

NaNa Bar

What’s it like?

Both bars have all natural ingredients to them but each one has a unique smell to it.

The Mojo Bar has a very soft vanilla and oatmeal fragrance with a slight hint of chocolate to it, while looking like a chocolate brownie haha. You can see little bits of oatmeal sticking through various parts of the bar and the texture was a mixture of smooth and bumpy, depending on where it was in the lifespan of the soap. The oatmeal was a little harsh when it first poked through the bar but it quickly softened up. It definitely gives you a good exfoliating property without irritating the skin.

The NaNa bar has a stronger Tea Tree smell to it. Although it’s not overpowering for the most part, you can definitely smell it in a smaller bathroom or shower. The peppermint leaves that poke outside of the bar are a little scratchy for the first quarter of the bar but do soften up with continued use.

Both bars leave the skin feeling refreshed and soft, especially the Mojo Bar. This is my favorite bar out of all of the ones I was sent.

How Long does it last?

Each bar lasted about the same time as the Ask bar we originally reviewed. So about the 25 use mark is what we got out of each bar. I’m fairly satisfied with the time line that this bar held up to. That’s roughly $5 a month for soap that is hand made, all natural, and supports a growing company with a face on it.

Mojo Bar:

Olive Oil, Water, Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Palm Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil,  Shea Butter, Fragrance, Oats.

NaNa Bar:

Organic Palm Oil, Water, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Organic Olive Oil,

Peppermint Essential Oil, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Cajeput Essential Oil, Peppermint Leaves.

$5 a bar or six bars for $25

As per our last review, we’re pretty satisfied with Iron Lion Soaps soap. The price point matches other BJJ Soap companies products and we’re always down to support the growing companies out.

The bars are the same size as the first one we reviewed, they’re on the bigger side of soaps but we’re used to it now and don’t mind the size at all.
Iron Lion Soap has a variety of bars that I think everyone can find at least one of their soaps that they will really enjoy. We highly suggest the Mojo bar over the others though. That doesn’t mean the others aren’t good, but for our skin and preference we really dig the Mojo.
