DeusFight Co. gi review – A4
Today we present you the DeusFight Co. gi review. DeuSFight Co. is a newer brand that is faith based and you can see it in their designs. Here is just a small write up from their site about who they are:
DeuS is Portuguese for God. Genesis 1:1 No começo Deus criou os céus e a terra. We capitalize the D and S in Deus to emphasize that HE is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega.
What does Fight mean?
Life is a Fight. Whether it’s physical, mental, or spiritual. DeuS Fight is all about relying on God to fight for us and through us against the obstacles and challenges we meet every day. Life is not easy, but through our Faith and God’s Word we are both empowered and capable of going beyond whatever we thought was possible.
So, who are we?
We are the first FAITH based fitness brand for the Mixed Martial Arts, BJJ, and Active wear market.

As a quick note, Johns wife bleached the gi once but only the jacket embroidery was effected which is weird. It turned the normally grey color embroidered logos to a mix of burnt orange and peach. Other than that, on to the review!
- 450 GSM Pearl weave
- Grey contrast
- Screen print & embroidered logos
- 10 oz ripstop
- Grey contrast
- Six loop belt system
- Grey stretchy rope
- Embroidered logos
A lot of the newer people today take pristine condition of their gi’s as most people “collect” gi’s if you catch my drift. I wanted this gi to be beaten on by what I guess you could say is an old school grappler or just a grappler who just wants to train. John’s been around for a long time and is one who doesn’t care what the gi looks like, he just wants to train. The more seasoned grapplers like John aren’t the best with keeping up with their laundry duties so the gi was used two or three times a week but it might have taken him a day or two to wash it. This was over the course of a few months.
The gi is a lightweight 450 pearl weave and 10 oz ripstop combo. The design is fairly clean and simplistic with embroidered logos and a grey contrast to give it just a touch of flair. The grey contrast gusset on the pants is probably the most outlandish thing you’ll find on it.
While I’m not a fan of religious imagery on clothing, I would say that DeusFight have done a tasteful job with their logos. It’s not over the top and the screen printed quote on the inside of the jacket is a recognizable one and inspiring to keep some people going.
The gi doesn’t stretch out that much when rolling and the pants are lightweight and soft. I’m used to heavier pants cotton pants so this is a big change for me. It’s a pretty breathable and once again, is a big change from the heavier gi’s I’m used to wearing. Overall it’s a solid gi and I like it a lot.
A small hole formed right below the knee pad and coincidentally this is the exact same spot a lot of my older pants used to get holes in. Now I know that bleach was used once but like I said above only the jacket’s embroidered logos were effected, so I’m assuming that the bleach didn’t have any effect on the pants because nothing showed up.
Could it have been a design flaw with the embroidery so close to the knee pad, the bleach, or was it just a random quality flaw like my previous pants have had? I’m not sure but I haven’t heard of any other pants from DeusFight getting a hole in them right there so I’m going to have to chalk it up to a random quality flaw.
DeusFight did offer to send me an entire gi to replace this one. They too were stumped as to why this could’ve happened but the customer service was outstanding.
For the price of $149.99 and free shipping, I think it’s a well priced gi. Obviously with the hole that formed it’s a quality issue, but considering I haven’t seen or heard of another DeusFight gi I can’t really say it’s a bad gi because of it, especially considering a lot of older pants had that problem.
I personally am happy with the gi and the hole is an easy one to fix.
There you have it grapplers, straight from the horses mouth so to speak. Let us know what you think or about your interactions with DeuSFight Co.!!!!
